According to the sign at the edge of this field, this stone circle was built around 5000 years ago. It is so long ago that I cannot really compute how old that is! It was high on a hill, surrounded by snow capped higher hills, it was a place of wonder and mystery.
It helps put life in perspective being somewhere such as this and also helps me appreciate humanity’s ingenuity in creating something without all the things we would have today to help move and lift things!
My life represents about one percent of the time this stone circle has existed! We drank coffee and ate Booth’s amazing hot cross buns here, imagine what more sacred and profound things these stones have seen. There was a sense of connectedness across time and space as we gave glory to God for a place to encounter creation full of awe and joy.
