I have no idea where or when Alan Alda said this, the quotation is one of those chapter headings where you try and see a connection. However, I think it is a profound observation and I know that it is something I need to do. As I grow and change then sometimes my assumptions don’t grow and change with me and I still view myself or others or situations through a lens that has got cloudy or dark. I don’t think it is possible to live without assumptions but they do need reviewing or challenging!
