Friday photo – engaging with dyslexia

talking-seatsdyslexiaToday we are facilitating a day for people who would like to write with the Grove Youth Series and the Diocese of Birmingham and these pictures seemed apt as not everyone finds writing easy.  One of the most moving discoveries as we were wondering around Christchurch was a dyslexia centre (sadly closed as it was the evening) with public art in the front garden enabling us to explore and reflect. Paul was diagnosed late with dyslexia, not until he was doing his ordination training in his 30s. The pictures do not do justice to what we encountered. The talking seats were fantastic – such a great idea rather than having to read and there were sculptures celebrating people with dyslexia who had achieved in different fields. It was one of those wow moments of our trip.
