It was fascinating watching these geese yesterday. They stood at the top of the Weir looking and then carefully walked down. We thought they would fly – that looked easier! However, the easy option isn’t always the best one to take. Much of what I have learnt has been through hard work, and sometimes there are no short cuts. Kayaking later against and with the tide reinforced this thought but also helped me recall that sometimes I learn well when I am doing something that brings me life and joy and because of that it feels easy. Learning is so much of my life that I often reflect on it in what I see. One last thought from the picture – sometimes we need to take a risk and opt for the more challenging option.
