Friday photo – forgotten paths

This was a view from a walk by Lopwell dam. There were broken gate posts and fences and crumbling walls. We have no idea where this path once led. Snatches of memories come back to me of paths I have walked in the past, both literal and metaphorical. I am enjoying being on holiday and recalling trips of old and enjoying the glimpses of people and places I may have forgotten. When this picture comes up as a Facebook memory in the future I wonder how easily I will recall where I was when I took it. I am grateful for these fleeting memories, this week of Grandma taking me on walks along hedgerows and telling me what all the beautiful flowers were.
