This is one of my favourite teaching weeks of the year. Paul does an exercise with our third years where they reflect on their development over the course and create a presentation of some sort to reflect that. This is a small part of Rose’s. I was taken by the phrase here “what keeps me free” alongside the broken chains. I like the list above that sentence and I know that I am not free to serve God without some of those things. If I think about what keeps me free in that particular sense it is things like a good team, travelling companions, making space for a sabbath each week, pursuing my vocational identity in different contexts (often not work). I know there are areas where I struggle to be free but I continue to ask God to help me with those areas, to make wise choices.
