If you look closely, you can see a little hermit chapel in the distance. I took the picture through the thistles as that resonated with me. On the walk, we could choose a path round the thistles but in real life you can’t always find an easier way, there is no choice but to go through the metaphorical thistles. Then we can end up with scratches and prickles sticking to us, we are not unmarked.
